In Loving Memory of Donna Sue Tate
August 30, 1947 - July 5, 2026
Donna Sue Tate, 78, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026. She was born on August 30, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Lowell Tate; and her parents, William Ralph Stafford and Eva June Stafford.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Tanya Wyatt and husband, Jimmy; her son, Brad Tate; her grandchildren, Alyssa Evans and husband, Terrell, and Brayden Wyatt and wife Huntlee; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jolie Evans, Truett Evans, and Hudson Wyatt. She is also survived by a brother Jimmy Stafford and a sister-in-law Sue Tate and 5 nieces and nephews.
Donna was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, where her faith was an important part of her life.
Donna found great joy in crafting and creating beautiful flower arrangements. She loved spending time working in her yard, tending to the flowers that brought her so much happiness. More than anything, Donna treasured her family. Her grandchildren, Alyssa and Brayden, were truly the loves of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was overjoyed to watch her family grow with the addition of her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
Donna will be remembered for her kind heart, creative spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and friends at Graham Oaks Care Center and Beyond Faith Hospice of Graham, Texas, for the compassionate care, kindness, and love they showed Donna during her journey with dementia. Your patience, friendship, and dedication brought comfort not only to Donna but also to her family. Thank you for loving her as deeply as we did and for treating her with such dignity, respect, and compassion.
One of Donna's funniest sayings shared with her family came during her battle with dementia. With honesty and grace, she once said, "I've lost my knowings." Those simple words captured the challenges she faced with remarkable clarity. Today, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is whole again in the presence of Jesus. She has found every one of her "knowings," and her mind, heart, and spirit have been fully restored. That hope gives her family peace as they celebrate the promise of eternal life and look forward to seeing her again.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the many prayers, acts of kindness, and support shown during this difficult time.
