In Loving Memory of Francisca Hinojosa V

September 10, 1942 – July 4, 2026

Celebrating the Life of Francisca Hinojosa V.

Our beloved matriarch, Francisca Hinojosa, passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 83. Francisca was born in Mexico on September 10, 1942, and carried a warmth and vibrant spirit with her everywhere she went. Many will remember Francisca from her 30 dedicated years as a cook at the Norseman Supper Club in Argyle, Wisconsin. Her love language was cooking, and she fed her community with the same passion that she poured into her family.

After retiring, she made her home in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she focused on what mattered most to her: family. Francisca was a bright light who was loved by all who met her. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the wonderful aromas of her kitchen.

Her beautiful legacy lives on through her seven children: Leona Yorns of Corpus Christi, Texas; Cuauthemoc Cuevas and his wife, Irma, of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico; Benito Cuevas and his wife, Melissa, of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico; Xochitl Pruit of Wichita Falls, Texas; Barrie Green of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Ismael Hinojosa and his wife, Betty Jo; and Monica Forsgren and her husband, Brent Smith; her six surviving siblings in Mexico; and her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Francisca’s love and warmth will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Her service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Interfaith Outreach Services, 1101 11th Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301, or Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
